Donkey basketball is a unique game because it is played while riding upon donkeys. The game is played like regular basketball but the rules are much simpler.

All shooting. passing, and guarding must be done while riding the donkeys, and if there is a loose ball on the floor. the rider may dismount his donkey and go after the ball just as long as he holds on to the donkey reins.

Donkey basketball was a popular high school fundraiser in the early 1970’s.
