ASB students, led by Isaiah Shabazz, created the first Kearny history “pop-up” museum at a football game. Organized by decade, students gathered yearbooks, uniforms, and trophies for display. They created posters and slideshows highlighting the variety of events and activities that have occurred over the years. Varsity football game films from the 1960s and 1970s were projected on a large screen. The students made good use of the school’s historical archives. The class of ’81 also displayed their class reunion poster boards which added an additional historical perspective to the museum.
